C.U.T.S.  (2025)

Center of Unseen Trans Survival (C.U.T.S.) is an ethereal center for artistic trans thought, founded by Ruby Nilsson. It serves as an outlet for trans artists, especially trans women, to comment, critique and debate issues relating to survival, embodiment and visibility in an age of rampaging transmisogyny and overall transphobia. It also serves as a place to speculate and try out forms of organisation and solidarity between trans artists.

C.U.T.S. was founded in 2024 and has its base in performance art and art-oriented writerly practices that are directly informed by strategies of trans survival. Today, C.U.T.S. holds about 15-20 members/minds, most of which are based in the Nordic countries, but the list of members is growing and will continue to do so. The center embraces contributions that utilize performative formats before conventional modes of presentation and will culminate in two public performance events in Copenhagen and Stockholm the fall of 2025 at Warehouse9 (DK)  My Wild Flag (SE).

Some of C.U.T.S. members are Ruby Nilsson (SE), Ba Bladh (DK), Andria Nyberg Forshage (SE), Paula Slav / Damelva (SE), Ester. M.
