ANOTHER POSSIBLE INNER EXTERIOR MOMENT TO MOMENT NONLOCATION LOCATION* (2023)

International group exhibition that gathered works by three contemporary artists, international and local, Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley, Xenia Klein, and Paula Slav, whose work in different ways touch upon performances of sex, trans womanhood and  survival strategies.

The exhibition attempted to re-imagine “trans fem aesthetics” as  a potentially open way of differentiating and undermining gendered categorisation.  The exhibition gathers perceptual and (a)signifying means of working with transversal, intersectional and transfeminist organizing within and outside the arts, cutting across and working against cisnormative and transmisogynist conditions in which we’re often isolated even when we’re included.

Curated by Ruby Nilsson and Andria Nyberg Forshage.

International symposium was held May 12th 2023 with keynote speakers like Maxi Wallenhorst (Berlin), Vala T. Foltyn (Copenhagen), Dinis Machado (Stockholm) and Nat Raha (Edinburgh).

Graphic design by Mika Kastner.
