FERA* (2023)

fera is a theatre performance exploring gender dysphoria as a specific mode of perception and/or sensibility – a bodily and mental state where a set of moods, affects and spatial states are created and generated.

fera is set in an ominous no man’s land, a viscious waiting room, where one waits to be at once included and excluded, without really knowing what awaits beyond the smoke screen of waiting.

* fera (etymologically “wild beast” / “to harm”), alludes to what is unbridled and wild in the construction of a life in common.

fera is a new work written and directed by Ruby Nilsson, made together with Ba Bladh, Andria Nyberg Forshage, Maja Lindström Ida Silfverdal and Em Silén.

fera was co-produced by Inkonst.

Graphic design by Mika Kastner Johnson.

fera has been shown at Inkonst (Malmö), Fylkingen (Stockholm) and Rewild / Basement (Copenhagen)
